As WH Cornerstone’s co-founder, Paula Harris is part financial therapist and part dream architect who takes great pride in helping her clients, particularly women, obtain financial peace of mind and independence.
In her “past life”, Paula established Campus Recruiting programs at Walker Digital (founding company of Priceline.com) and First USA, Bank One’s credit card division, now Chase and served as Director of Recruiting and HR for Braxton Associates, a division of Deloitte Consulting in Boston. You can also add opening Bain & Company’s Dallas office as one of the many places she’s left her footprint.
Today, whether she’s in her role as co-founder at WH Cornerstone Investments or having served on the board of several area organizations (Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra (Past President), 2012 Chairman of the Board for the South Shore Chamber of Commerce, a past President of the Duxbury Free Library INC board and a former elected Trustee for the Duxbury Free Library…just to name a few!), Paula is assisting people in the life planning that goes hand-in-hand with financial planning.
As a trusted advisor in many facets of life, Paula has shared her time and talents with her community by serving as an active participant in Duxbury Town Committees (Open Space, Economic Advisory, Chief of Police Citizens Screening).
A graduate of Providence College. Paula lives in Plymouth and the Berkshires with her husband, Bill Harris.

Even when markets are volatile, there is one person you can count on for staying the course: Bill Harris. As a Certified Financial Planner™ Practitioner, an Ed Slott Elite IRA Advisor and a President of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), Bill’s knowledge and expertise optimizes our client’s financial resources to help them achieve their dreams in the calm and the storm. How? Bill’s experience in the financial sector began over 25 years ago. In his former roles, Bill worked for State Street Global Advisors and in the custodial field for State Street Bank with numerous mutual fund companies, fund managers and investment advisors as an account manager in domestic and international operations.
When he co-founded WH Cornerstone Investments in 1996, he knew it would be with the following goals in mind:
- A philosophy of independent investing and research
- A focus on best of breed money management with boutique options seeking the best return on client’s investments
- A commitment to client satisfaction and education
To support his vision, Bill lectures frequently on financial planning topics, has a syndicated monthly newspaper column INVESTORS, PLANS AND MONEY and is a columnist for the Journal of Financial Planning. Bill is often tapped by the media and has appeared in several books for his thoughts on financial topics ranging from portfolio diversification to real estate.
His knowledge is known throughout the community, where he started the webinar education series for the Financial Planning Association of Massachusetts and is currently the President. Bill is a former member of the Finance Committee for the Town of Duxbury and the South Shore Workforce Investment Board (SSWIB). In 2010, Bill was elected to serve as a Commissioner on the Plymouth County Charter Commission.
Bill has an MBA from Suffolk University and a BS in Management from Daniel Webster College. An avid fisherman, he is Treasurer of the Plymouth Yacht Club and chases, captures and collects fish around the bay in his Duxbury Dory. Bill lives in Plymouth and the Berkshires with his wife, Paula Harris.

There are many words to describe David I. Shactman: lawyer, advisor, and lifelong learner. There’s just one that he is not ready to use: retired.
Since 1971, David has specialized in the design, installation, and administration of all forms of retirement plans for business, professional, and individual clients. And he doesn’t plan on stopping anytime soon. You can see why he’s a great fit at WH Cornerstone Investments: he’s living proof of seeing a future greater than his past.
In the past 25 years, David’s clients have experienced thoughtful investment counsel providing them with retirement income to help ensure their retirement years are all they envision them to be.
David received his undergraduate degree from Amherst College and received a Doctor Jurisprudence degree from the University of Michigan Law School. After serving in the legal office of the United States Coast Guard, David maintained a private practice, specializing in labor relations and corporate and retirement planning.
When David merged his practice with Laventhol & Horwath of Boston in 1985, he assumed responsibility, as a Senior Principal, for managing and marketing retirement and employee benefits for the firm’s New England clients. Since 1990, David has served as a consultant for ADQ, Inc. of Waltham, MA and Derby and Company, Inc. of Newton, MA. He also acts as a trustee responsible for managing over 10 million dollars in assets invested in a broadly diversified portfolio.
He started his practice in 1992 on Cape Cod, and he brings his diverse background, experience, and clients with him to WH Cornerstone Investments. Our partnership began in the fall of 2017.
Who would have guessed?…David also…
- Worked in a chocolate factory in Holland after college (and still exchanges visits with the family members he lived with)
- Spent some time with Jimmy Hoffa in Springfield, MA
- Played high school and college hockey (and still laced up over 40 years later in pick-up leagues)
- Battled rapids down the Colorado River
- Rides his bike all over the back roads of Cape Cod and plays golf
- Spends his winter’s playing paddle tennis with his wife Nancy
